Ashtanga Mysore conducts Six Yoga Teacher Training Programs in india each year, in the heritage city of Mysore the birthplace of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga and Varkala,Kerala. Over 250 people have received Yoga Certification from Ashtanga Mysore and teach Yoga in the US, Europe, Canada, Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa and Central and South America.

About The Teacher Training Course (TTC)
The Yoga Teacher training is a comprehensive Yoga instructor training, designed in accordance with the 200 hour requirements for registration with Yoga Alliance. At the end of the course you will be a Certified Yoga Instructor, eligible to register with Yoga Alliance. You will be qualified to teach ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
About the Course
This course provides an intense experience that helps to develop a firm foundation of inner discipline. The course curriculum is comprehensive and taught by teachers who have extensive experience in Yoga and Meditation.
The course includes Ashtanga yoga primary series, Yoga Philosophy, Anatomy, Pranayama and different forms of Meditation like Osho Nadabrahma, Nataraj, Kundalini and Dynamic. An advanced course is also available and can be discussed with the teacher. The Pranayama classes cover various techniques like Kapalbhati, Bhastrika, Sithali, Sithkari and Brahmari. Also, a brief explanation on the essence of Bhagavad Gita will be discussed. Ayurveda and basic sanskrit language are taught on the weekends for those interested.
Mysore Style(Self Practice) is practiced on saturdays where students get a chance to improve their practice without the teacher leading them. But the teacher will be present to adjust the postures.
Students are required to teach in small groups 2 or 3 asanas from second week onwards in the afternoon classes and a 45 min. session once at the end of the second week. The final assessment will be will be conducted at the end of the course for certification. Since, our course is based on practical approach, at the end of the course students shall be confident to lead the class and also have improved their own practice.
The eligibility for this course is a sincere desire to learn and discipline to attend all the classes. Previous experience in Ashtanga or Hatha yoga is preferred but not a must.
